Title: Did it rain today?
Post by: Darren on June 15, 2009, 03:52:40 PM
Forecast was for some pretty heavy rain today, almost a weather warning

We've not had a drop, glorious sun all day.... :)

Did it rain elsewhere in the UK?

Flash floods and hailstones the size of tennis balls in Sheffield ......   according to the local radio.

In North Leeds at about 2:00pm the rain was like stair rods for about 1/2 hour and the roads were more like a canal, at home tonight at about 5:00pm it persisted down for about 40 minutes ................. apart from that it's been a nice day in west Yorkshire  :zap:

To be fair ..............  after seeing this in the sky this morning we should have been prepared mind  :med:

Got flooded out tonight in the shop, drains couldn't take it and it all pissed in.
Two saving graces, everything except machines 3" of the floor and I have an outlet drain in the far wall.
Second saving grace was whatever lives in the coolant tank on the small TOS leant out and with a big slurp emptied the floor and re filled the coolant tank  :headbang:

Blimey, that sounds like a lot of bother.....we normally get all the rain here in Snowdonia, but still not a drop.

We've had a good winter and a good first 1/2 of the year.......it'll catch up with us......good luck can't last for ever.... :(

Looks like shop time from tomorrow till Sunday.

IT"S GOING TO RAIN

Horizontal this afternoon and evening, but now very bright.

Saved me washing the car for another year, and I didn't do it last year either.
