IPad just says....
Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server.....
Whats that about?
'Er indoors is just the same....yet if I go to my pc, all is good....??

Did you update it recently?
-
Nope, I didnt.....
Should I update to the latest rev of iOS? :coffee:

Presumably you iPads connect via wifi, but is your desk top perhaps hard wired and your wireless access has failed ?
-
All sorted, updated and its working now....,

Nope its not fixed...
Yes wifi to router then cable to outside world....
I can get to all my stored favourites( good job really else I wouldn't be posting this...) but not to Google .....

John do you have or can borrow a M$ laptop opr android tablet with wifi to verify the wifi is good? the ipad may have shut the wifi off internally.

If it was a single web site, I'd suspect an expired security certificate on the server.
Otherwise I'd be checking for allowed protocols for the internet connection - I have no idea where to look for this on an Apple device.
For example I've recently had to help several people whose computers would not run a particular application - the problem was that the web based licensing system expected connection via TLS instead of SSL (after a security 'upgrade'), where TLS is not enabled on the computer no connection is made.
Sounds like one of those things that'll be simple when you find the answer, but may be a PITA to locate the cause.

Change the start of the google URL from https to http
-
Seems to have corrected itself.....maybe a DNS thing?

The Forum of my ISP reported similar issues for Google services from Apple devices - perhaps a change by Google that wasn't tested across all platforms...
