Hello everyone, after two years of lurking, I've finally joined this splendid forum! I know one or two people on here already from the Mamod forum, and from meeting people at the Harrogate and Midlands shows, and I'm using the same forum name so I don't confuse anyone!
I'm an early-retired engine driver, I've got a small workshop with a lathe and a mill, I've been learning model engineering for about two years. My interests are live steam (stationary, locomotive, small boiler making) and making tooling for my machines. I've got a great deal to learn yet, but I've found some great ideas and inspiration on here already! I've realised that everyone has got something to share, however inexperienced they are, and it's nice that everyone gets a respectful hearing here.
I'll try and pluck up the courage to show a picture or two of my blundering efforts!

I will post something over in the Gallery, I've actually just tried but it wouldn't let me post my (resized to 800 X 600) photos- not sure what was wrong, they showed as attached but didn't show when I previewed the post. That's good though, because that's just the sort of problem I'm used to getting in model engineering!
Maybe you do that to everyone, just to make them feel at home..? :scratch: :clap:

I think that is normal. They should when you post but not in preview.
Give this LINK (http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=607.0) a look. It gives step by step on hosting your pictures on a photobucket account.
