Just found this old post....thought these that I make would fit the bill.

https://www.cloudynights.com/classifieds/item/304873-autofocus-clutch-manual-release-couplers/

I made a few prototypes by hand and then farmed my first big batch to a CNC shop....kinda cheating I know.

I can't see the post without signing up to cloudynights.com.

Could you post a picture?

You may not need a clutch, just use a dual shaft stepper motor and add a handwheel to the back shaft.

p.s. With the stepper powered but disabled, you will probably be able to use the fine focus without the clutch.

A varied week of highs, lows, and a poo run! I earned some money doing lots of very enjoyable little repairs to antique metalware, and it was all downhill from there! All I can say is it was a good thing that the weather was warm and sunny, or it would have been a lot worse! Join me in Yorkshire for a real rollercoaster of a week!
Phil, in getting warmer East Yorkshire, the harvest is coming in!

We got our 10 kW solar PV array running 2 weeks ago.
Rooftop.

Producing about 4x more power than we use, and mostly a lot of extra power we will be using shortly for "hotel loads".

Grid power cost is up 2-3-4x in finland and spain, depending on what lies--statistics you use.

A pretty large 3-phase 10 kW system costs about 7k, net, to me.
Payback is 18 months, or so.
And I get free power for AC in the house and shop, and for 2 spas, and for heating a swimming pool.

Em..
the dc direct voltages get high.
We just installed our latest 10 kW system, 3-phase, and the open circuit voltage is rated at 1000 V.
With isolation relays and all paperwork and certs.

The more serials you get in a string, the higher the voltage can go.
And it varies a lot, during the day.
20 panels in 2 strings with a huawei 3-phase mppt inverter.

Connecting the pump behind the inverter is likely to be much more durable, and easy, and cheap.
Things like 220V well pumps are meant for "harsh service" aka industrial use, and are really cheap.
Optionally 220V airco circulation pumps, or shower booster pumps.
