I had an email this morning from John S, my apprentice and he wanted to fit a saddle stop to his new lathe, and didn't know an easy way to make one.
So a couple of minutes with my crap-o-cad program (black pen and a bit of paper) this morning had the solution winging its way to him thru the ether. See first pic.
Away I went to have a big molar taken out this lunchtime. So feeling sorry for myself, and I was fed up with kicking the cat for me having an aching jaw, I opened up my emails.
Lo and behold, a return piccy. See second pic.
Just goes to prove, little mods like this can be done very quickly and efficiently.

Crap-O-Cad works very well John, as Ralph and I can attest to :headbang: ............... is the
256 8 Colour upgrade due out soon
CC

Dave,
Just been using a 3 colour version, but it gets a lot more expensive the more colours you have, to have 8 colours, costs eight times as much as a single colour.
But joking aside, if you can scribble up a little sketch like this, making the part becomes an easy exercise. For one off's there is no need for full cad packages, and they are usually a lot easier to understand because you can just stick bits of info on them wherever you want.

Well that certainly works for me John :D
I have 6 colour COC on the shelf.... But I usually stick to the black ink.... It's cheaper
Nice to know JohnS is still cranking out good workmanship too
I'll have to copy that stop one of these days!!! :hammer:
Ralph.

Ralph,
Due to me having copyrights on it, I will let you have a two colour repro of the plans (black AND white), in exchange for only four packets of Morrison's raspberry jam doughnuts. Just enough to keep me going for a day. :coffee: ::)
BTW, John S is turning out some really nice work now, even modding plans to suit his own methods of working. I think he just enjoys pottering around by himself, and just asking questions when he gets a bit stuck, as we all do.
He is even trying to bring along his own apprentice now, so that will make me a grandad mentor. :hammer:

Well that's different John! :)
I Think I'll drop JohnS a line and see how he's doing, I haven't spoken to him for ages!
4packets of doughnuts!!!!! Are you on a diet??? :D
I'll see what I can do... Do you think that morrisons will deliver?
I think I'll still cary on with my bootleg copy of Crap o cad colour untill the authorities catch up with me.... Or until me pens run out!!! :bugeye:
Ralph.
