Title: Turning cast iron.

About a kilo of chips later the lathe was still clean!  Once only though as the plastic tended to melt a bit!

Chcuk, I was turning down a cast iron barbell weight, they are covered in very hard 'glassy'  crud which tends to go everythere.

I wound up with a 12mm thick iron disc of about 140mm diameter and a spigot on it to fit my cross slide.  It might wind up as the base for my ball turner.
