Title: a very overdue hello from wales

Hi guys, i first joined madmodder in febuary 2009 as i found this site very interseting although i havent got a lathe yet? :(
and soon after joining i forgot my password as my comp went all bust on me, i recently found another site called
(start model engineering) and it prompted me into finding my password for this site and 'wehey' i found it. so about me i am 43 years young and the only machining i have done was at school when i made a screwdriver handle using a lathe and thats it,
although i am used to working on motor bikes and the odd car i havent got any experience with lathes or mills.
i am currently looking for a lathe and i am looking forward to learning from all you experienced people and i hope to contribute a little to the site as i start out.
