Lovely work there Stumpy.
I really like the small attention to detail, it makes the difference between a good model and a great one.

Judging from the size of that tree stump, that's one behemoth airplane engine you've made there!

Beautiful engines, all of them. That model airplane engine looks big enough to power a small Cessna!

Great looking engines you've built there
Were they made from bar stock or castings ?.
And were they your own designs ?

Wow, those are some very nice engines. It is easy to see that you are as proficient at woodworking as with metal. Thanks for taking the time to show them to us. :D
Cheers

Incredible. I'm even so slightly skill-envy now (where is envy green face smiley when you need one). You said you have a little work shop. Is that similar understatement?

Cheers all would it up set you all if i told you all them engines along with all the others i have made are all in box's up in the roof. I'm not really one for showing my stuff i like to just work away get one thing done and move on to the next.
There has been a lot on interest in the IC engine so iv found some picture of when it was complete just before strip down for paint and blasting you can see more things iv done on it if you want to see them. Oh and its not that big its only 15cc but would never fly gravity would beat it hands down. What I'm most proud of is the full tank its a shot measure with the ends Tig welded in and you cant see one weld was very chuffed with that
To answer some of the qutions i have used casting in the pass the 2 steam engines have some in them the fly wheels and cylinders are casting buit every thing else is stock. I dont use casting at all now they are all ways to much work of low quiatey and the price is just to much some times but if i do use any it will only tend to be for fly wheels. But on my tration engine i had no choice because of the size and there is no way to invent a cylinder of 4inch scale .
As for wood work i HATE it the mess is one reson ill only work with it under pain of death and then at work so its does not make a mess in my own space plus i never get it right first go but in the long run thought it does tend to be worth it if it look rights .
Just out of intrest how much of my model stuff should i put on here do you want to see it all ?

If you've got pictures we would love to see them.

I would agree with that
