Post by: CrewCab on September 28, 2009, 01:31:42 PM
Anyone else going   few of us went last year and it was an enjoyable day, the steam engines and model tanks outside were particularly entertaining

I've just booked a couple of tickets for me and my eldest son, hopefully see some of you other reprobates there

Were going on the Saturday, 17th October and should be there for about 10:30am (ish)

I'm there all show on the ARC stand.
We will have the two CNC running and cutting something, probably bloody loco wheels again.

I've been press ganged into giving a talk on the Saturday and Sunday on something CNC related.

Was quite entertaining as you said CC. I think I got a video of the tanks stuff. Not sure if I ever posted it?... Nope! never did?!?

Anyhow, I'll see nearer the day, thanks for the heads up

He likes the local ME club track, is there anything he can ride on?

Hi 28ten

Yes they usually have a low level track you can take rides on and sometimes they have traction engines giving rides.

I hope he enjoys it  :headbang:

OK put one on one side for you for Saturday, might have a bit of time them, Friday is real hectic and you don't have time to talk which is a pity.

Everyone insists on going Friday to miss the weekend crush not realising that they ARE the crush.
Saturday and Sunday are far better days to go and kids are never a problem at these sort of shows.

Trying to persuade my wife to come with me but we have a 11 month daughter, good as gold normally but it is the 2 1/2 hour car trip either way that is making it look less likely.

My hopes of going have been dashed, on the plus side it'll save me some towards the mill

Enjoyed the show, but I think that Harogate is better more trade stands and exhibits, sorry forgot to take camera so no pics. :worthless:

But this was my score.

I also ordered a DRO for  my mill to be collected from show but would you beleave it they'd left half the kit behind, so they are going to post the complete kit to me at no extra charge and at the show price.

A good day out even my boss enjoyed it
