Title: Ey up!
Post by: yorkie_chris on December 02, 2010, 12:46:06 PM
Evening folks,

Joined up as it seems you lot are into making some very cool stuff with a great knowledge base.

I'm into motorbikes, tuning suspension and everything else.

I've been into making things for longer than I've been into bikes. Recently bought an old lathe to start learning machine work. Next on the list is a foundry setup, I've got access to plenty waste oil, and can weld. How hard can it be  :zap:

Hi Chris

Lots of Bikers, ancient & modern here ... including one character in Newcastle, currently practising self-suffocation with oil-burners.

YORKIE  ???

Now, is that as in Jorvik or Choccy Bars ???? Hmmmmmm   I wonder?

I'm in Halifax

Pics...
Well I'd love to show you some of the prototype oil burners I made a few years ago, but they're buried under a load of snow.
I've put a thread up about my lathe in the tools bit.

This is my SV650 which has taken up a lot of my time the last few years. Very far from standard, handling is excellent and it makes good power for an SV.

And my (ex) GSXR750 which was a brilliant bike, ex endurance racing one with some fancy cams and head and such. Picked it's feet up a bit.

Was great, had to sell it... the guy crashed it and it caught fire on first race. :(

Also had an RD400D, and still have a GSXR750G awaiting some TLC to get it running.
