Hi,
Been lurking around a couple of weeks reading everything thats gone before so thought I may as well say Hi and Thanks for all the useful info!
Im a bit of a tinkerer, cant leave anything alone and throught the years have built loads of stuff using rudimentary tools and the like. Figured I'm old and ugly enough to buy a proper lathe and mill when they came up for sale a few months back to make some gun parts and maybe some engines so now I have a Warco BH600G and a JAFO FYC-25 Mill. This is a beast of a mill, all 2 ton of it running 6hp of single phase with all axis powered. The mill wont actually fit in the house I'm in at the moment, so need to find a big garage when I move. :)
So far Ive turned a few barrels for my own air guns, including converting my S&W 686 CO2 pistol from .177 caliber to .22 caliber. Also built up a milling slide on my lathe until I have space for the Mill... :dremel:
So basically, thanks for the info on here, Ive picked up so many little things you would never learn on your own so a big  from me.
Cheers

Welcome to the collective Stot. :borg:
Glad you decided to speak up. Interesting projects there for a land that's just about banned all sorts of guns.
Also glad you found the site helpful. Now we're going to need some pictures of all that equipment in the Gallery page of the forum. No hurry mind you. :poke:
Regards,
Bernd

You can just about see my 4" metal bandsaw there, and the 12 ton press with the lathe too. :dremel:
I have plenty of pics of my guns and rifles too, (http://sites.google.com/site/artworkfiles/) but none of any 'conversions', yet...

Well..... :oD
I havent had a chance to use it yet. Its in a corner at my work warehouse. :o(
When I went to view it the guy took me through it all and as it was switched on all the lights in the workshop turned off for a few seconds while it got up to speed.
Still. It makes a nice paper weight for now.
Cheers
