As mentioned in another mini mill DRO thread, I'm adding a DRO setup to my Warco Mini Mill.
The twist is that I'm doing it in a way that is reversible. i.e. using existing holes and screws, with NO drilling into the machine to mount scales.
Firstly, my scales' readouts don't need to be visible - I'm using a Shumatech DRO350 display.
Here's the Z axis:
At the top is the fixed read head, fitted to a bracket in the Z axis rack groove, secured by the z axis stop screw.

At the bottom, the fixed end of the moving rail is fixed by a p clip to the pin the torsion arm lifts.

X axis:
Again I'm using a moving rail.
Here it is fixed at one end, using the screw hole for the table end plate.
