Hi All, Thought I'd share couple pics of a miniature brass lathe I'm working on. Ralph

Ralph:
That is really cool. I've got a soft spot for man (woman?) powered things - have two treadle sewing machines myself and use them once in a while.

Thanks John. I have a fascination about mechanical things, as you can see. I'll try to post a video of the lathe in motion soon as I figure out how. Ralph

Very nice work there Ralph. Like the quarter you used on the head stock end.
Is the chuck made from brass, looks like it or is it reflecting the brass of the lathe?

Thanks. Yes, it's all brass except for the nuts and bolts ahd the dollar on the head stock. Thought you might appreciate a view of my miniature lathe in action. You are the Cellini of brass! Such a pleasure to see. Thank you for
showing. You have inspired me to emulate you work of art.
Best.

That's very nice

Thanks Topos and DaveH. My latest projects are examples of instruments that can be built employing basic material and tools, although I did turn the round stock on an old lathe. Building simply is challenging and gratifying. I appreciate your observations. Ralph
