Post by: Its Me on November 06, 2012, 10:00:33 PM
Got this of ebay, in good shape but looked bad with all the dead paint, I took it all the way down, blasted each piece primed it and changed all the wires, good project all one has to remember is that they have tapered pin, it quite when it runs, I have picked up the Atlas seven also, not restored yet, like the Atlas better, use the both, It's Me

Very nice job!

I acquired a SB shaper yesterday. This one is a basket case, rusty, left disassembled in the backyard.
Looks like all the pieces are there, maybe a couple I don't recall seeing.

All the small pieces are already de-rusted, soaking the vise now, then the table.
Still haven't figured out how to de-rust the big castings, but probably will have to go electrolytic due to size.

Question - that SB badge on the front of the cabinet drawers - is that a decal or a metal medallion?
Mine is missing.

I also have an Atlas. Actually two, a very early one, and recently got a later model 7B. That will be the next project.

Shapers are so cool
