Hello gents.
I thought it was time for me to show you what I have been up to sense this spring. I brought a casting of Stuart D10 from EBay. It was a casting from around 1975 so I have to take care of lot of rust. Besides that, I did a lot off fail but still manage to build up this engine and she is running quite well. Sorry to say, I have not yet have time to make a video, but it will come.
However here is some picture, I hope that you will like it.

Photobucket vids are so challenging to say the least its not your fault. wonderful machine you have created there looks beautiful and well crafted, excuse my ignorance is that a marine engine? if so and i have never made a model engine that's one i might try. great show and well done!. Anthony

Thanks for the comments gentlemen, you have given me so fine words so I almost blush :zap:
ieezitin: yes it's a marin engine and I am still working on it. First I must make a new crankchaft then I will make a reverse gear.
I also thinking about feedwaterpump and a condensor and maybe some little more. I have alredy adjust the engine and it works much better now, so I am very please. :D .
This project was so fun to do so I have hard time to let it go...but I take it easy. :coffee:
Ones again thank you my friends and have a good time with your'e project, I know I have. :headbang:

Hello Gents.
Well now I have my new lathe, and I have taking some time to finish of my Stuart D10, and I thought that I should show you. By the way, I have also done a new crankshaft, so this is not wobbling and as you can se, I have now a reversing gear. It was a little tricky to build the reversing geat, but after long days and late night here she is.

Very nice work Benni!!!!
Just a question from someone who does not know too much...
In the 4th picture the eccentric strap is empty?
Should there not be something in there??
I do not know the name of the bit that fits inside the eccentric strap...
Hope this makes some sense!

Andrew

There is nothing empty or is I missunderstanding you? :bang:
-
