I've been working on this off and on for awhile. I finally put the final touches on it today. CNC plasma cut the bike and letters, TIG welded the parts together. I spent more time thinking about how to do it right than actually working on it.

Very nice work. You could make a business selling them. A guess on the bike? An Indian?

Supposed to be a 1936 HD but they all looked the same back then. I had a 47 HD in the 60's, sure wish I still had it.

For those interested in making a weathervane I found the post and plastic bearing sleeve on old bed frames to be a perfect pivot for mine. It turns quite well in even the slightest breeze.

Did you cut that from Aluminum?
Ever since I saw that movie Twister, I've wanted to make fancy weather vanes like the lady in the movie did. Since then, I've been collecting metal junk of all sorts so that when I retire I'll have a good selection of metal shapes on hand.
My son gave me two Chinese made rocket bikes (very small motorcycles) so I took them apart and added them to my collection. Made a crappy robot while I was at it. He stands guard on my driveway.

That sign may be referring to the person the robot is pointing his weapons towards. :bugeye:
