Back in the days when minicomputers had switch registers, one of my mates programmed a PDP 11/20 (remember them) with loops so that with a radio sitting on top of the machine, he could play tunes on the switch register like an organ. Very impressive (until the boss caught him)

It all seems a million years ago now. Back when 16K of core memory was considered excessive.

But then, nostalgia was better in those days too :wave:
