I found this place after I saw a video on a ball turning tool. I have been forging blades for some time now and have acquired a few tools to help in the fit and finish....Still in learning mode. I got a mill,... 2 metal lathes a shop smith...old one, Revo , 3 forges, grinders power hammer 2 anvils, many hammers and tongs. One of the forges doubles as a foundry....I'm just getting into a little casting....bronze. I got way more tools than I got time to use but hope that will change soon. My real job is farming, culinary herbs.
Always fun to get new ideas and tips for using my toys.

Welcome Larry to the collective :borg:
Sounds like you got quite a shop there. My wife, the other Admin may have questions about your day job! Me, I wanna hear more about your blades.

Hi Larry
Welcome to MadModder. Sure sounds like you have an interesting shop there. We would love to learn more about it when you have a chance and maybe some pictures as well. Culinary herbs? Sounds like a good excuse for a show and tell. I am sure that many would be interested in seeing what is involved in that. :) :)
Cheers

Nice.
What is that blue machine with the large wheel on top? Some kind of press?
Bernd

Not sure. There was a lot of big toys in that warehouse, it was just in the background.

I think he meant this one. I am curious too.
by the way...Welcome.

That's an 80 ton fly press. You should see what it does to a penny.
I used it when I cut the center for the feather pattern damascus dagger. works great
I also used it as a vice to hold a damascus billet that got twisted for that katana.

I like. I may have enough cast laying around to melt down and make a small one. One of those would look good in my shop.
