Hello All
I normally post on model engineer, but after seeing a few interesting posts on this forum I thought I’d say hello.
My interests are all things metal work and I’ve been in the hobby for about 3 years after learning a lot from YouTube and in particular watching Double Boost. I’ve learned a huge amount from his channel and owe him a real vote of thanks! I also owe the chaps on Model Engineer who have been very helpful throughout the learning curve (although I still feel at the bottom!).
I’m interested in machine tools, welding, casting and like making model I.C. engines and other bits and bobs. I also enjoy filming it all and putting it on my small YouTube channel – I’ll add something to the Gallery forum soon!

Thanks all.
I'm just trying to create a post in the Gallery section with some links to YouTube but I keep getting an error message. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong.
Just a hyperlink works:
But using the Youtube markup failes
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong. I've got :
(youtube)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qNaWJiOBh4(/youtube)
- but with [] rather than () so I can show what I've got above :-)
-
Welcome Dave,
Not much help to you, but I just copy and paste the link if I want to share a video. BTW, did you mean to link to the BBC test pattern? Not much action there

You just need to paste the identifier part of the YouTube link between the markers
-
Thanks chaps - I see! This time I've got (youtube)4qNaWJiOBh4(/youtube) - [] replaced with ()
I thought the BBC test pattern seemed as good as any for a test post :-)

Hi David, welcome from me too....
