Yes got my truck booked in for the morning with a noise on the rear brakes.
Spent this afternoon turning some new rivets up with a shallower head to get a bit more life out of the linings

that Ok its just a run flat , if he had kept the speed up it would have smoothed out and the noise would have gone away

I saw a similar thing years ago. A young lady in a Metro stuck on a dangerous bend. She had got home and told her dad that 'the engine is making a funny noise'. He started it up and told her it was fine, so she set off for work the next day with a flat tyre, and when it got too rough to steer she pulled over.
We changed her wheel for her - had to lift the car up by hand too as she had no jack.

Few years ago I was going down the A1058 cost road when a bloke in a new model MR2 braked too hard and went into a full scale flat spin at about 80mph.
By some miracle he spun several times precisely along the road then down the off-ramp to the A19.
I pulled over and his vehicle was miraculously undamaged having avoided all barriers and other cars...
...Until he went to drive away... at which point we realised both tyres on the drivers side had been pulled off the rims :hammer:
I gave him a lift home, turns out he was a train driver, hadn't seen a slow moving scooter and put his boot on the brake whilst swerving to avoid.
