  Hi John , aye you done the right thing  :thumbup: , anyone with all ten fingers at your age must be using good judgement but then again the man with nine fingers probably thought that a second before he went down to nine  :palm:, so, 'better safe than sorry' is the way to go.

Me, too. Want to see that collet holder in action!

I don't have ER32 collets, but do have a full set of R8s for my mill, and a bunch of C5s for my collet spinner. Wonder if I could do a chuck to fit the Sears 12" x 36 lathe for the R8s?

Of course you can.  Plan it out, grab a chunk of steel and go for it.

Just watched all 5 videos.  Impressive to say the least.

I always wondered how to cut a taper on the lathe without a taper attachment.  Now I know.  Thank you for that.  Learned something new tonight.
