A few of you may have noticed that I have not been sticking my nose into everyone's posts or doing any of my own for a fair while now, just the odd tickle now and then.
Unfortunately it is bad news about Mal, my wife, her condition has reappeared, a little more deep seated than before.
I am not after sympathy posts, but a little understanding from the membership.
Normally, off site, I have helped people with their problems thru either PM or email. Unfortunately, unless it is a very quickie one line answer, I will not be able to give that support for the near future, and I hope that if you do send me a question, you will realise that it may be several days before I even get around to answering it.
I am not saying don't contact me, as if you see me available on Skype, I should be able to have a natter, but maybe not for as long as we normally do (a couple of hours) and of course, I will still have an open workshop where you can call around for a coffee, we haven't got leprosy and nothing is catching, just be your normal jovial selves. Later on in her treatment, a few months from now, we will have to close our gates again as her immune system will be destroyed, and we cannot take any risks, just like last time.
If I do get back into the shop to do a little bit of recouperating myself, I will definitely post it up on here.
I do hope you understand the situation as it is, I am not going anywhere, just laying low for a while.
Keep on making those wonderful things.

Many thanks gents for your concerns and well wishes, it really is appreciated.
We have been thru all this before, and a miracle happened then, and we have had a very happy 18 months extension of life together.
We were always told by what I consider to be the best cancer treatment centre in the world, The Christie, http://www.christie.nhs.uk/ , that there will never be a complete cure for Mal, but if we caught things early enough, treatment could still be given to hopefully keep things under control.
So we have no choice, we will take that route, and just hope the miracles keep happening.
Just another little hiccup in our lives together.

John, my thoughts are with you both.
As you say, the Christie is a remarkable place, and Mal couldn't be going anywhere better. Maybe she'll meet up with my mother-in law, a regular there for the last 12 years. Now 92, she goes there on the bus, which I hope gives you some encouragement.
