Hi John , it looks nice , just the right size I would say from the photos, I bet you are glad its seized so you can rip it to bits :dremel:, lets hope its just a free of job or small part to be made as I bet they will not do bits for them now ?
Looking forward to seeing it getting the revamp
Cheers Mick.

Looks like it really sucks. How's that for an obvious joke?
Can't wait to see the Lister driving it though!
-
Great project John just watched your video :headbang::-
Whilst I was in the tube found this video
Its a lister coupled up to a manus and a milking machine.
Are you planning on getting a cow when its up and running :D

Hi John
It is an old one and a good one.
I remember checking and starting a "Manus" vacuum pump powered by a "Petter" stationary motor on Fleetshott Farm more than 60 years ago.
Never any problems it just kept on keeping going.

Looking good John. What did you find when you opened her up? Was she seized just because she'd been left idle or was it more serious than that?
-
Starting to look the part now
Ohhh..... Yes!

It had a bit of water inside the bore
Block of wood & a hammer sorted it
-
John,
Is that 'loose' ring not there to lift oil from the base of the sump ?
-
Yes, I am sure that loose ring lifts oil for the main bearings whereas the big end just dips in oil. Engines I have seen with a system like that have a scoop on the big end, maybe why that one is knocking?
-
nice
