Title: Webley pistol chamber
Post by: Old toolie on May 03, 2012, 03:30:33 AM
2 days ago I joined the forum and in my introduction attached some pics of some projects that I’ve done.
There was some interest in the Webley pistol chamber.  Andy wondered how some procedures were done.   See attached pics,  of the job.
I had made a small dividing head and mounted this to a vertical slide bolted to the cross slide of my Myford Super7.
A 4mm end mill was used to achieve the square ends.  By plunging to full depth and then a combination of reducing cut and rotation achieved the grooves. (the grooves are the stops) The ratchet was hand fitted (careful filing) until the combination of index and stop came together.
