Title: Upping my light game
Post by: WeldingRod on September 01, 2021, 08:17:33 AM
I put a ring light on my mill's quill housing years ago, and recently swapped it out for one with all the leds working ;-)
The problem with that one is when you run the quill down, it shades the tool.  I just glued another one onto the quill, with a badge leash to keep the wires out of harm's way.
We'll have to see how happy it makes me...(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210901/bba77383b2e578dc4c9a06bf3fe420b5.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210901/5f230d5e7378c1d07d724e2d2ecbb8bc.jpg)

The larger diameter of the ring light the less shadow you get at the tip of the tool, so go large!

Or go close to the tool...  or, both!
