Local auction site advertises a lathe "made by tool maker"!

Interesting bit of work looks like he found a job lot of lathe parts and cobled them together  :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: and what he was short of he just made, and got himself a functional lathe.

Heath Robinson would be proud.

Rather ingeneous. Belongs in a museum - a very good example of the "Can do - make do" approach of just getting something done.

I see it does come with a tool holder that looks like it has a carbide insert in it - also quite likely shop made as well.
