Post by: PhiberOptix on October 05, 2009, 02:08:08 PM
Disaster the plastic clutch selector broke
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0465.jpg)

so had to make a new one this time from mild steel

drilled out the bulk of it
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0461.jpg)

bored out and knurled
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0462.jpg)

Drilling the screw holes in a dividing head
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0463.jpg)

countersinking the screw holes
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0464.jpg)

and fitted back on and packed with grease
(http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu7/phiberoptix/SP_A0466.jpg)

now I can use my machine again ;)

I was gutted when it happened as without it I could not use my machine
not even to make a replacement
but luckily enough my m8 has a full engineering workshop
so was able to go over to his an make a new one

Good repair Andy

I've got a 3 in 1 I may just make myself a spare one of those before I'm left without a machine

Cheers
