Title: Introductions from a Dutch guy in Texas
Post by: rschilp on December 03, 2012, 10:55:41 AM
New guy to this message board, not so new to mad modding  :bugeye:

Grew up in the Netherlands, living in Texas, USA now, just North East of Dallas.

Have a full shop with any and every tool known to man (OK almost) and adding almost daily and I know how to use them all.

I build and modify anything I can get my hands on.

Recently added a lathe and a mill to my collection of tools, making some tooling now.

For a living I sit behind and desk and look like I know what I'm doing and act important, they pay me well for this. For live I am a serial entrepreneur, tinkerer and custom car builder/restorer and modifier, that last part is my main activity and where all my tools reside.

Current projects;
- Fuel injection and electronic ignition for a 1941 Seagrave V12 with a supercharger
- Ball turning attachment for my lathe
- Laser light experiments with my kids
- Blacksmithing, currently making a balanced wind vane
- Restoration of a 1950s hot-dog and bun warmer
- gun-blueing steel

at least that covers the main ones

Hi and welcome to MadModder. Glad to see you aboard and looking forward to your participation. From what you say it sounds like you have many and varied interests. If you have any questions just ask as there is always someone around to answer or at least give an opinion.

I am sure that the members would be interested in hearing and seeing more of some of your projects.

We have a few other members from Texas that may not be too far away from you.

Cheers

thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I'm sure I'll start some of my own threads and ask for some advice here and there, looking forward to becoming a contributing member of the forum.
