Title: Model Engineer web site
Post by: bogstandard on May 20, 2009, 04:15:54 AM
They have at last got their website up and running

http://www.model-engineer.co.uk/

I have to say, I am a little disappointed with it on first reading.

It looks like there is no proof reading on the articles, and some glownig mitsakes have been missed, and the forum seems to be infected with the general run of the mill cretins.

I suppose in time it will get overun by number crunchers and holier than thou's, as usually happens with this sort of supposedly 'high end' site.

But I thought I would show it in it's infancy, and maybe you can have a look before it changes altogether.

To me it looks rather a shoddy package for such a well respected product. Maybe I was just hoping for too much in this day and age.

Well I signed up but I can't see the advert page.
Can see the index but when i click on an item just get a blank page.

I hate websites that have to be all singing, all dancing, just don't have the time for it.

JS.

Edit, works in IE but not firefox so that's over 1/2 the population not able to see it

Can see that page but if I click the helicoil inserts using Firefox I get a blank page, with IE I get the advert.

According to small son who knows about these things it's down to the webmaster not knowing what he's doing  ::)

JS.

I'm using Firefox and all works ok for me?

Maybe you need an update, just a thought?
