Ok this is something I made today , I should of got some pictures as I was making it but it is all basic stuff (advanced to me). it was something I have needed for some time but never got around to make.
It is a simple device that will prob use most days.
hear are a couple of pictures, there are prob not many people who would need one.

-
does it pinch young ladies bottoms?

You got me Pete, bin thinkin over this one and i just don't see it

Since it's sittong on a counter top with a sink in the background I would have to go with a "pick-it-up" device for either the sink drain or valves that control the hot/cold water?

sorry chaps going colder , only used the worktop as it was clean and it has no distractions in what it is , come on chaps must try harder, Darren was partley right, the end has a pin inside that expands the end , it has a rubber "O" ring to close it again , (Hint I am not very mobile)..
also most of us handle the items it was made for each day, even the Luddites.. ( Capt Ludds men)

Is it a screw gripperer, positioner and tightenupperer? For those difficult little places we need to get to at times.

It's a rogue martini olive/onion retriever. :smart:
Steve

Remember Steve, you are talking to the working classes here, they don't even know what a Martini is, never mind an olive.
If it isn't brown and frothy, and comes in a pint glass, and no we aren't talking about chocolate milk shakes, it isn't worth drinking.

I thought Martini was a working class drink, perhaps as a young man I was frequenting better residents that I realised then
I noticed the rubber o-ring and expanding bit Pete, gis a clue, what's the dia?
-
Thats a collet on the end:- so pressing the plunger will close the collet: reducing the dia of the o ring: you put it into something release the plunger it grips the something so you can pick it up :headbang:
so whats the something then ????
The dog/cat, polo mints, TV mote, Spoon,
Sorry stumped on this one :bang:

Ok ill put Darren out of his missery. it's to pick up CD/dvds. I have a problem in that I cannot bend (nowt works) so I have problems wiyh a lot of things one thing I hate is not being able to do something and have to ask people for help, its very frustrating so if I can adapt or make something I will our dvd recorder is virtuly on the floor nad there is no where else to put it so I had to do some thing sat night I wanted to record the GP missis was in bed and no dvd in 20 min later I had changed it so a better soluthion was needed and this is it.
drop it in hole press it expands and holds it lift out or put in and relise the button, it works great ay present and another thing I dont have to get help with, I also have a great methoud of opening vertical blinds and it has wored for ten years now on 3 aa batteries.
