Nothing over technical  But an interesting story behind these
Basically I have a large home built wood / coal burner in the workshop and the workshop cat loves it when I'm home as it never goes out :loco:
I've had to come away for work again and the missus was concerned about the cat getting cold while I'm away :loco: :loco:
So I left her enough wood and coal to keep the stove going whilst i'm away  Anyways 24 hours before I'm due to leave she decides that she will need a poker for the fire :bang:
So a few hours in the workshop and hay presto :ddb:

Hmm, so when is the sword fight happening?
They look almost good to be poking hot wood about.
Hopefully you scored a few brownie points with them.

Nice design!

Wish we could have an open fire. Unfortunately our area is a smoke free zone! :loco:

Nice pair of duellers. Have made a few pokers over the years with differing handles, usually the ubiquitous plastic handles of varying colour combinations.

Very smart

You can, just have to use smokeless coal. Multi fuel stove is my choice rather than open fire though. I have a poker here my Granfather made in very similar style.

It's quite funny that you have a similar one made by your grandfather  as the design for mine came from remembering one we had at home when i was a kid  it was made by my father in metalwork at school in the late 50's
