Ok here are two pic's and a quickie!

A ceramist,potter's clay workers hand turn table. made from aluminum and I have seen one from magnesium. They can be found at garages sales, school surplus inventory sales etc.
They generally have a steel point shaft with a press fit ball bearing in the very end. This one and the other ones I have were tight in the socket. Some penetrating oil and some turns and then a clean up works wonders.
I use the for a lot of things you can see there are 3 screw holes in the base you can flip it upside down and screw a plywood section to it so you can hold larger items on it.

Here I'm using it as a paint turntable painting another item that I will post in this section as soon as they are finished. More repurposing of obsolete wheel rims. :dremel:
