Ok I'm looking for idea's for the mounting arm from a Dish network TV receiver dish mount. I was given it in a load of stuff to go to the shredder. The dish is going but the mount looks to have possibilities.
Now I don't do or have any need for a telescope mount, I also have a number of assorted camera mounts! Any other ideas?

The complete set up upside down on the bench.

The dish removed.

The fine tuning adjustment.
I am thinking of cutting the rectangular receiver arm off the mount. It may give it more options or uses.

Do you need a screen or keyboard holder for a workstation in the shop? Looks like it could make a good one with some minor modifications.

I just finished a racing simulator for my PS3.
The dish arm is the mount for the steering wheel/head assembly.
Makes it adjustable for short people.
I thought I had a photo to post but I can't find one.

After some great ideas, and much thought It will be going to spend some time on the raw material pile. As none of the idea's fit either my interests or life style or need.
Thanks to all that came up with them.

I also saw this used to support a collet rack. Bolted to bottom of mill base (or wall) or back of lathe stand. Add drilled-plate collet organizer to suit
