Weiner in American is another name for a hot dog and its slang for a certain part of the mans body!. the joke is in the paragraph and the play on words. there is some senator from new york state who was caught sending nude pictures  of himself on the internet and sending them to young girls he was forced to resign.

American humor.       HAppy days      Anthony.

I am uncertain if it is POSSIBLE to have a story title that would not be considered amusing. Think about it.    Someone named Weiner sending pictures of his bits to ladies on the internet. He was married at the time of a few of these contacts. It is just too easy to read too much into ANY title.

I suppose it doesn't help that our American collegues never latched on to the fact that  the Germans and east European countries pronounce the letter 'W' as 'V'.  And the 'V' as 'F'.

That is why they can't correctly pronounce the name of their own favourite beer.

Dave. ::)

Totally given up on apologizing for american political figures.  The best of us cannot be elected and the worse of us have never learned to shut up. :bang:

Hey, we are all individuals and represent only ourself were are not mannequins (or crash test dummies) of our counties. All those expectations would brak your back. Don't feel too bad, every country has it's own idiosyncrasies and share of politicians and politics.

But here we all are madmoders.

"But here we all are madmoders."

Exactly the reason I am here.

Thanks,

I'm just here because I thought it was the bus stop.

Plus, I need a break at times from running my own forum.

In general, what people do doesn't surprise me anymore, after 53 years.

I see politicians abuse power, I see people on the internet abuse power- all the same to me.

Weiner was just that- a very aptly named guy.
