Title: My first MINOR mod for my HF 7x10 mini lathe...
Post by: ddoyle on May 30, 2014, 03:43:36 PM
I realized very quickly that I was going to have to come up with some solution to keep chips out of the gears and halfnut.  Nothing major but I think it will serve it's purpose.  I also just used silicone to hold it in place, for easy removal if I need to take it off for any reason.

This was one of my first mods, too, although mine's a Cummins.  same source in China, though, I think.  The link goes to Flickr, and should be public; the detailed description is there.

Failing that, I'm attaching the image itself.
