Title: Where can i buy Belleville springs.
Post by: NeoTech on December 03, 2012, 08:56:53 AM
Trying to source belleville disc springs without getting ripped off..
In Sweden its a hassle to buy stuff like this over the counter.

Im gonna use em for a regulator im fiddling around with. So its gonna regulate 3000psi down to 2000psi and for that pushpin valve i need some small springs that dont bind.

So anyone know where to buy em? and how to calculate the force of em?!

They're not much easier to get here! When I was looking for a few for my roller nut project (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/linear_rotary_motion/13593-different_better_kind_screw-38.html),  I emailed a couple of companies and begged for samples:

Associated Springs - Barnes Group (UK) ltd (http://www.assocspring.co.uk/)

 Bellevilles Springs Ltd (http://www.bellevillesprings.com/)

were both very helpful :)

I found this company but never used. minimum order £15 I think - which is a lot of springs!
Good info on their site though.

Convenient, quick delivery and local.
Min postage is the set back not worth while travelling 12 mile but may order some more shim washers.
