Title: cut off saw
Post by: slowcoach on January 15, 2011, 07:09:42 AM
Hi all, can anyone recommend a particular make of cut off saw for cutting brass and steel, but not at the same time obviously  I use the one at work, but the guys complain when I chop stuff in their dinner break  ::). So I fancy having one at home, so that I can annoy the wife when she's watching her soaps on tv

The one at work cost over £700  :bugeye: I'm not that rich  :( so the cheaper the better  :)

Cheers

A friend recently recommended this one for smaller more precise work. It will fit nicely indoors .I have bought one but still waiting for it to arrive from the USA.

I had one of those cheap chinky 14" abrasive chop saws, it was pretty rubbish, I only used it for hogging through stuff but the motor died in a spectacular and sparky fashion.

Yep the Evolution range of saws are looked on pretty favourably over on MIG-welding.co.uk

Aldi has them occasionally (probably about time they came up again) or sometimes B&Q have them on special
