Title: Pump centre
Post by: Joe d on December 31, 2012, 01:08:06 AM
Will be doing some turning of irregularly shaped objects in the 4 jaw soon, so decided to build a spring-loaded centre
so I can use a wiggler to centre the workpieces a bit more accurately than the old Mk I eyeball... :bugeye:

All straightforward turning and drilling, nothing too special here.

The bits:

Assembled:

At home in the tail-stock of the Taig (Peatol) lathe

Best part of this one was that all the material including the spring were onhand
already!

Cheers, Joe

A pc is a very handy bit of kit to have in the shop....specially for threading...

One of the most useful gadgets I've made.. :dremel:
