The method of using a tap in the chuck of the lathe and the pulley on post for hobbing works really well. I made this brass pulley up this morning and hobbed it.

OKMO RETROL 1/4 Scale Lister D Engine with some Mods.
I'm so thoroughly enjoying the Lister D and doing some small mods to it.
It's such a reliable engine, this hobbed nonslip drive pulley is going to work out terrific for running accessories from it, which I'm really looking forward to.

Our (relatively) new dog, Darlene, barks once in the morning for each crow caw. That lasts about 5 minutes until she decides it's pointless and moves on.

Hi Folks,
I finish the drive at my Langtoft house, and then get blagged by an old mate to "look at" a Fender guitar amp! I have some experience with guitar amps, mainly humping the bloody things about when I was roady
for a few local bands, and being an electrical engineer, had to jump into the breech and fix them when they started playing up before or during a gigI However my forte is not electronics, and this one needs component level diagnostics, but thanks to some brilliant info on the net, circuit diagrams and signal paths, I got stuck in and faults appeared and will be dealt with! I am awaiting the three capacitors to be delivered, and when they arrive I will fit them, do another test, and see how much nearer to full sound we are. This amp appears to have been driven hard and put away wet!!

Recent increase in crow problems and only rare opportunities to use the crow scarer due to cottage guests with dogs and indeed our own dog.
But the stars came into alignment this morning - wife was off for a dog walk and cottage guests had just departed - so out with the Zon propane cannon - by heck it is loud.
I rang the wife to warn her to let me know when she was on the way back so I could turn it off in time. Turns out she can hear it 1.7 miles away in the woods where she was walking. I knew that it was loud but 1.7 miles is impressive  :bugeye:

A few little Lister-D modifications.

Made a brass wire hook for the galvanised bucket.
Stripped the black paint/powder coat of the trolley handles.
Made some hardwood handles.
