Hi All,
I am completing my grinder and I am wiring it for 415v (star). The previous owner had it wired delta for 240v.
Having looked at it I think it should be connected:
red - terminal a
yellow - terminal b
blue - terminal c
black, white, brown - neutral
(I realise I may have to swap the individual wires to terminals a,b or c to get the motor rotating in the correct direction)
Can somebody check whether this is usual convention
Thank you! :mmr:

Craynerd posted a photo some time ago which tallies exactly with what you're proposing:

thanks.
I have also checked that all the windings are connected to the start point (ie no winding has both end going to neutral) so I think it is ok...
let's plug it in and see if the magic smoke stays in :)

You do know that you do not connect a neutral to the N connection on three phase. This is just a blind bolt to connect the three winding ends together when using the star connection. You can take a neutral FROM here and use one other phase connection to get a single phase feed.

hermetic, yep its just a star point
