I`m sorry, I know insert information comes up from time to time on here but I`m totally lost with this one.
My face mill takes TPUN16 04 triangular inserts. I believe the 16 refers to the length of one of the triangular sides so I guess this is important to fit but I can`t for the life of me find what the 04 means. Not only that, when I ebay search them, most have 3 sets of numbers TPUN 16 XX YY ...
Ohhh... too many bloody tips. It would be much easier if they named them - like to something appropriate, like "FIT_CRAYNERD_TIPS1" and "WONTFIT_TIPS". :D
Anyone help me out ?

04 is the metric thickness code for 4.76mm (3/16), the number after that is teh corner radius code
I find the chart in J&Ls cataloge quite easy to follow (jump to page 366 & 367)

Sorry, :palm: only a couple of minutes after posting, I found this:
(http://www.kw-tools.de/shop/images/Pr/tpun/TPUN-2.jpg)
TPUN 110304
l = 11,00
d = 6,350
s = 3,18
r = 0,4
TPUN 220412
l = 22,00
d = 12,70
s =4,76
r =1,2
So looking at that, I`m guessing TPUN XX YY ZZ X=length, Y=thickness, Z=radius
OK - well that sorted that out... I`ll keep this up incase it helps anyone else out. I just needed another 10 minutes searching! :bang:
