Title: New LH Dial Caliper
Post by: 75Plus on March 25, 2010, 10:22:19 AM
I made a visit to Grizzly last week and while I was browsing I ran across some calipers designed for left handers. They had digital in two sizes, 6" and 8" and a 6" dial model. My son is left handed and has a birthday coming up so I picked up one of each variety for B'day gift.

It occurred to me that there are times when one would be handy for measuring work in progress on the lathe without having to reach over the compound. The dial model was inexpensive, $22, so I grabbed one for myself. I have used it once but that is enough to make me glad I bought it.

I had just gotten a Victor Tool catalog in the mail. They too sell left handed calipers. At first I thought it was a miss print untill I took a closer look at the pic. I think they'll come in handy no matter which handed your are.

I've had a LH digital caliper for quite a while now.  Bought specifically for use on the lathe.
