Winter is coming...
I have some projects that I am going to attempt to do.
1. Finish laying out the new shop. I have to build benches, organize etc...
2. Finish the lathe mods
3. Finish the X2 CNC refurb
4. Continue with the CNC router
I also have some stuff I want to make.
1. Picked up these funky pedstal/light things. I think there were used to display stuff in a store. I want to turn them into something cool.
2. A baking soda rocket launch pad - For my son
3. A LED cube. See the video at the end of this post.
4. A useless machine. See Chris's Version (http://madmodder.net/index.php/topic,9127.0.html)
And some other things. I need to get the shop done first. Anyone got any plans?

Wish I'd have known, just bought a new set of motor brushes for my mill. Won't get to enjoy much of them now it seems ... :(
Still, Eric is a splendid Viking name .. you got anything arranged for Ragnarok ??? If you care to come over here, I'm sure Lindisfarne is well overdue for another pillaging ... :D

If I get any time between coursework and assignments I might try giving electronics engineering another stab. I used to love it as a kid but it reached a point where I just felt like the books and project kits were compelling me to copy schematics without really explaining how they worked. But i'm always well impressed by anyone that can design a circuit so i'd like to try remove the mysticism around it.

I have had a recent diversion from my Elmers build, my local amateur radio club (MUARC.com) have been building a radio transceiver kit as a club project and I volunteered to build the case and turn a couple of knobs as well. (photos will follow when the project has been completed) This has given me the "bug" and so I have ordered and received the 1st of ( I think  ) 5 kits that make up the transceiver.
That and along with picking up the Elmers build again should keep me busy over the winter.
