it all started out with a question, could it be done with a mamod?
so i built a simple horizontally opposed motor to test the theory heres a few vids regards chris

Hi Chris.
That looks MAD enough for madmodders, welcome to the madhouse. I would think that
Dave (stilldrilling) would be interested in anything Mamod, so you must "get round to it" with part two. :hammer:
Cheers Dek. :med:

Thanks for sharing, a really nice project, looking forward to seeing it run!
Regards, Matthew.
-
thanks guys!, :ddb: all done
and stop start testing

Yes, enjoyed that! You had fun making it and I had fun watching it run! It's authentic in my book, more than 80% Mamod, lets see it run a lawn mower!!
Thanks, a nice way to end the day! Regards, Matthew

Hi Chris.
What a crackin' project! :bugeye:
Love your sequence of thought and development, as the project rolls along.......
I never got further than three...... http://madmodder.net/index.php/topic,1128.0.html Then, four cylinders, myself....... http://madmodder.net/index.php?topic=5643.0
(Both of those engines are in Australia, now).
Love it! Blummin well done!

Hello Chris and welcome to our club.
I very much enjoyed your engine whizzing around and making a sound like a V-8. well done sir on a successful build and design.

Thanks For the nice comments you guys are my heros!
,David I've followed your build closely and indeed your quobble helped me a lot in my build, Ive been subbed to your YouTube channel a good while now, you've got serious talent are you a engineer by trade?
This was my first go at modding a few years ago... But how many times did I say the word "now" in the video? Lol

Chris.
I thought I recognised your handle and email addy, when I first saw it........
An Engineer? I call myself a Bodger. Spent a working lifetime, machining.
I made my first swarf, at school, in 1958, and I'm still at it.
Stick around here. It's a great place to be.

That's brilliant!

Yep, totally brilliant, best I made was a three cylinder radial, not to my plans either.

That V8 is really cool, and so is your accent!
