Poor Bodger, he has to go to work every day but there is an hour each evening for play, today's little project was a simple job which will hopefully be a more convenient way of holding and adjusting the compound angle using the chuck key handle rather than the does-not-really-fit 17mm spanner!

The adequate but not very convenient nuts, so close in that the spanner can only get a bit of travel before having to reposition it.

Bodger's improved 'nuts', the chuck key handle fits in the hole providing up to a full half turn before needing to reposition, and a half turn is usually more than is required.
OK, a very minor 'project'.... ::)

John,
Nice mod, shame I can't do it on mine, the DRO head gets in the way.
But one thing I have done, it extended the scale zero marks to make it easier for me to see, and also put marks at 90 and 180 degrees to the front one, for times I need to have more than 45 degrees, and for the times I need to cut away from the chuck.

Topic: What did The Artful Bodger make today? (Read 142 times) (before today).
Hi
I am going to kick start this and see what kind of response it gets for John. :coffee:
It is a true coincidence that this thread was read exactly the same number of times as the other thread that I kick started.
Cheers
