Not for me, but for a worthy cause. I am going to be doing Polar Plunge (http://www.specialolympicspa.org/torch_run/PolarPlunge.php) to help raise money for the Special Olympics. If you want to sponsor me, you can do so at this PAGE (http://www.firstgiving.com/ericyoung). Freezing for a reason...
No pressure...

I've tried, Eric, but got this:
Your credit card number and card type don’t match. Please check them and make sure they’re correct.
Well. apart from the fact that it's a debit card, they DO match. Maybe it's because the card was issued here in the UK?
And I was so looking forward to the video...... :worthless:

Eric,
Be sure to wear your insulated jock strap :bugeye:
Kevin

YOU'RE A NUTTER!!!
Sorry, just found this!
Tried and failed.... The system doesn't like me! Same issue as Andy??
Is there any other way I can get it to you chief?
Ralph.

I think you can mail them a payment. I will have to check.

I'm with Kirk. :worthless:
I hope you don't get hyperthermia man. I know one thing that's going to be the smallest in the world.
By the way I made a donation a while back. Good luck.

I am back! Will get the pictures up shortly.
I saw the donation Bernd! I saw yours too, Kvom. And everyone else who contributed (or tried!).

Ok... so the plunge had a huge turnout. Over 350 people went in the water... we did it in waves.

Mrs. Brass here... and I'll be the first to say Mr. Brass IS nuts, but I've been converted and will be doing this myself next year! :headbang: What a blast!
Mr. Brass was a true champ! You should have seen this... he ventured out further than most of the other plungers and while I cheered on, I also pictured us in the ER treating hypothermia.. But no ho ho. Queue the theme to Chariots of Fire and raise a mug... Mr. Brass emerged from the water victorrrrious. He even stepped over ice on the beach coming out. :bugeye: I swear, the man is made of industrial strength insulation. Although he did complain when ice starting forming on his hands as we walked to warming tent. :coffee: And I suspect that our Little Brass Monkey will be a Polar Bear, too one day. He wanted to go "swimming," too. :borg:
Seriously, it was great fun, lots of good energy :headbang: for a good cause. And if you're in Northeast USA, anyone up for joining us next year? :headbang:
Madmodder Polar Bear Club? :mmr: I although I suspect it will remain a Membership of 2.
Great job, Mr. Brass!   Now for some hot toddy.. I'm still defrosting and I was only a spectator. BRrr!

Glad your Ok and didn't damge anything, but your brain maybe. You are nuts, but in a nice way and for a good cause. Going to have to show the wife these pics.
Mrs. Dragon, anybody ever say you married a nut? Glad you were there to take some good pics.
Looking forward to next year. If Mrs. Brass goes in and we have pictures I'll double my donation. How bought the rest of you guys that made donations this year?

Looks like you were having a great time. Nice to see. Glad your doing fine.
Tell your wife she looks like the leggless frog on a skate board when she pushes your son and her along like that.
Haven't seen snow like this up here in a couple of years and really don't care to with 1/10 mile drive to plow at 3 in the moring when the wife goes to work.
Thanks for the pictures they were great.

Yer, I know.... Missed this by an age!!
Well done chief! :bugeye: :jaw:  (understatement of the year!!) I have no concept of how you could do such a thing??
I'm working out in the cold all day and constantly having issues with my fingers and it's +3 deg C!!! (wind chill too though.... ::) )
Isn't the snow great.... Until you have to get to work/shops anything else etc!
Looks like you've been having lots of fun
Ralph.
