Are you after something to use for staking numbers around a dial?
If so, try here, about the simplest I have seen yet.

Thanks Bogstandard but sadley no. I am going to try to make something much better then I usually use to do. :dremel: When I threading something I use to do it by hand, and then of course break som taps. :bang:
I thought that if I have an pillar tool, it would be much simply to do it right, and not spend so much time redoing a lot of faul.

Benni,
What you are after is called a tapping stand.
As long as you keep things square, they are very easy to make.
The only real difficult bit is getting the small drill chuck to run true on the tapping shaft.
I actually made mine by using the back edge of my marking out table, and swinging it into operation only when needed.
You should easily be able to copy the one Arc sell.

Very late reply. But better late than never.
Harold Hall has the plans for his tapping stand on the web. It's an interesting design and doesn't need its own chuck.
http://www.homews.co.uk/page41.html
The feature that makes this tapping stand differ from most, if not all others offered for the home workshop, is that it automatically feeds the tap at the correct rate for the pitch of the thread being cut. This eliminating the need for the user to apply any down feed pressure to get the tap started.

Thanks every one for good reply but I think I am gonna make myself a "tophatt". It's a small cylinder that just hold the tap in possision and it's easey to work with.

Hi
If you can get hold of a cheap drilling stand you can make one of these,
