Title: Shortening Very Small Threads
Post by: ScrapMaker on September 16, 2009, 05:33:32 AM
Hi all,
I've been reading this site for a while, excellent site, lots of very useful info here.
I now have a question though!
I've a Kennedy DTI, and the stylus needed replacing. I've bought a new stylus,
the thread is the correct pitch, but too long.
With a thread as small as this, whats the best way of shortening it without damaging the remaining thread?

Thanks

Make a little screwed bush the length you want and file the surplus off up to the bush, a plain bush will work as well but you'll need to take greater care.

Hope this helps
