Hi guys, I know this isn`t really a thread for madmodder but since we have had some discussion on the floor blocks on my cnc thread and other threads, I thought I`d put it on.
This tiny 3 sq mt floor has taken me nearly 8 weeks (evening and weekends). Top photos show the reclaimed blocks going down. Bottom left is the floor sanded and then the bottom right is the floor oiled and waxes! Looks better than in the photos and I`m very pleased with it..but a heck of a lot of work!

Very nice Chris, sanding that small an area (assuming you used a machine?) must have been quite a challenge...
Erm, you do realise you need to move the herring bone pattern about 2" to the right, don't you? (kidding, obviously)

  That looks terrific, Chris, particularly with the inlaid border. It must have been tricky routing our the groove.
Bit puzzled as to why you left the plastering until after the blocks were down, though (photos 3 and 4).

Great work Chris
p.s. does one of the blocks need turning over? - did the compass rose block get laid face down :coffee:

Stunning floor Chris. The inlay finishes it off very well. It all puts value on the house! Not got my floor down yet but will be doing it soon. Take care. Chris O
