Title: Hi Everyone
Post by: brac321 on December 23, 2013, 05:29:43 AM
I came from Slovenia (EU). Machining became my hobby some years ago. I tried to mill some front plates on a small, home made milling machine for my electronics projects. Latter on got a bit lager mill, equipped it with a 3axes DRO and home designed LCD Tacho meter. There is also table-top (small) lathe in my shop, a band-saw, Isel CNC machine with my electronics and Mach3, and some other tools that I've collected or built in past years. Till now there was a shortage of space for my machines. In few moths my new metalworking shop will be ready to move in from a tiny, temporary place that I occupy now.

I'm still novice in Metalworking, need to learn a lot.
This forum I discovered days ago occasionally and found it very interesting, with a lot of pictures and information. Therefore I would like to a part of your community.

Other interests goes direction radio communications, photo voltaic systems, programming and hw designing, mountaineering and alpine climbing (a licenced Mountaineering Guide and instructor), etc.

I know, my English is fare a way from perfect, so I will stop typing ...

Regards,
-
Mike

Hi there, Mike,

Welcome to Mad Modders.   :nrocks:   :nrocks:   :nrocks:

Don't worry about your English - it's a lot better than I would manage in your first language.

The thing is to keep posting accounts of your projects and workshop, with lots of photos.  If we don't understand what you type the photos will probably clarify things and if we still don't understand, someone will probably ask for an explanation - they're usually quite gentle.  You'll soon learn the English for the technical terms.

Please read the post in 'Gallery' about resizing your photos, it can be very difficult to read when photos are too big and overflow the page.

Hi Mike

Welcome to MadModder. It sounds like you have a good variety of equipment. I can well imagine how much you are looking forward to your new shop.

It looks like your radio shack is fairly well stocked with most of the essentials. There are some members here that are also into ham radio.

As Pete W has mentioned above regarding photo size. If you go to http://madmodder.net/index.php/topic,4735.0.html you will find the program and instructions on reducing the size of your photos..Personally I prefer a size of 640 x 480 as it gives a nice size for detail and doesn't require the use of sliders to see the whole picture. If you require any help with this just give a shout via email or a PM and I will do what I can to help out. I will edit the photo's that you have already posted.

:D :D

Cheers

Welcome Mike, don't worry about your English; if they can understand me, they can understand anyone.
